Description
General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is a US defense and technology company providing advanced mission-critical solutions including satellite communications terminals, ground systems, and information technology infrastructure for military and government customers. GDMS manufactures the AN/USC-60 and AN/TSC series satellite communication ground terminals, the Wideband SATCOM (WGS) ground segment, and mobile satellite uplink/downlink shelters used globally by US armed forces. The company also produces the Arclight supersonic strike weapons system and supports C2 (command and control) satellite communications systems for NATO allies. GDMS provides satellite communications terminals for the US Navy's Shore-Based Fleet SATCOM infrastructure including X-band, Ka-band, and EHF (Extremely High Frequency) terminals. The 7.3-metre antenna shown is a standard X/Ka-band SATCOM terminal used for fleet broadband connectivity at naval shore facilities. GDMS also supports C3I (Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence) satellite ground station infrastructure for strategic communications satellites including AEHF, WGS, MUOS, and GPS.
