Frontgrade Gaisler (formerly Gaisler Research) is a Swedish company developing radiation-hardened and radiation-tolerant embedded computer systems, microprocessors, and silicon IP cores for space missions. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, the company has delivered computing solutions for some of the world's most demanding space programmes, including Mars rovers, lunar missions, and deep space probes. Its product portfolio includes the GR740 and GR765 multi-core SPARC/RISC-V processors, the GR716B radiation-hardened microcontroller, GR801 neuromorphic AI engine, LEON and NOEL-V/NOEL3 processor IP cores, GR718B SpaceWire router, and various fault-tolerant memory controllers and cryptography modules, all qualified for the harsh radiation environment of space.
