Fergani Space

Fergani Space is a Turkish private satellite company founded in 2022 by Selcuk Bayraktar, chairman of the Turkish aerospace and defense company Baykar. The company develops commercial satellites, satellite components, payloads, and orbit transfer vehicles powered by original propulsion technology. Fergani Space successfully launched Turkey's first privately developed satellite, FGN-100-D1, on SpaceX's Transporter-12 rideshare mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base, followed by FGN-100-D2 and FGN-100-D3, the latter launched on March 30, 2026 aboard SpaceX Transporter-16. The company is developing the Ulug Bey Global Positioning System, a low-orbit navigation satellite constellation built entirely with domestic engineering capabilities aimed at establishing a national navigation and timing network independent of foreign GPS architectures. Fergani Space aims to deploy more than 100 satellites within five years and provide the Ulug Bey positioning system to Turkey and allied regions.
