DSS (Deployable Space Systems, now a Redwire company) is a US manufacturer of high-performance deployable space structures headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, specialising in Roll-Out Solar Arrays (ROSA), compactly stowed deployable carbon-fibre composite boom systems, and large-aperture deployable structures for spacecraft applications requiring ultra-lightweight, high-efficiency, and compact deployable power and structural systems. The company's flagship ROSA technology — a flexible roll-out solar blanket that deploys from a compact drum — was flight-demonstrated on the International Space Station in 2017, and six DSS iROSA (ISS Roll-Out Solar Array) units were installed on the ISS in 2021-2023 to modernise station power generation, with commercial versions deployed on commercial GEO, LEO, and cislunar spacecraft requiring high power-to-mass ratio solar arrays.
