DFH Satellite Co., Ltd. (Dongfanghong) is a commercial satellite company and subsidiary of the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST), which is itself a major enterprise under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC). The Dongfanghong (DFH) brand refers to China's historic satellite platform series, with DFH-4 being one of the most widely used geostationary satellite buses developed and exported by CAST for communications satellites. DFH Satellite markets satellite platforms, payloads, and satellite-based communication services to domestic and international customers, drawing on CAST's decades of experience designing and manufacturing China's national and commercial satellites. CAST-developed DFH satellites have been supplied to Nigeria, Bolivia, Belarus, and other countries as part of China's commercial satellite export program. The company represents the commercial face of CAST's satellite manufacturing capabilities.
