Deep Space Industries (Bradford Space)

Deep Space Industries (DSI), acquired by Bradford Space in 2019 and now operating as Bradford Space, was a pioneering US asteroid mining and space resources company that pivoted into commercial satellite propulsion hardware, developing the Comet water electrolysis propulsion system, Meteor green monopropellant thruster, and Prospector-1 asteroid prospecting mission concept. The Bradford Space product portfolio — carried forward from DSI — includes the Comet water-based propulsion system for small and medium satellites providing precise attitude control and high total impulse from a non-toxic propellant (water), and the Meteor warm-gas/monopropellant options for nanosatellite propulsion. Bradford Space (parent company Bradford Engineering, based in the Netherlands) continues to manufacture DSI-heritage propulsion systems for CubeSat, nanosatellite, and small satellite customers requiring flight-proven, safe, high-performance propulsion for constellation manoeuvring, orbit raising, and end-of-life deorbit operations.
