About CONAE (Comisión Nacional de Actividades Espaciales)
CONAE (Comisión Nacional de Actividades Espaciales) is Argentina's national space agency, established in 1991. The agency develops and operates Earth observation satellites (SAOCOM series), conducts scientific space missions, and is building a national launch capability. CONAE's satellite program focuses on synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery for agricultural monitoring, disaster response, and environmental management. The agency collaborates with NASA, ESA, and ASI, and is developing the TRONADOR II small launch vehicle to achieve autonomous access to space.
