Beijing Commsat Technology Development Co., Ltd. is a Chinese private satellite technology company founded in 2015 in Beijing, developing LEO satellite constellations and satellite-as-a-service platforms for IoT, broadband communications, and enterprise data relay applications. The company designs, builds, and operates small LEO satellites, offering services from satellite manufacturing and in-orbit delivery through to constellation management, satellite terminal application integration, and industry-specific connectivity solutions. Commsat has launched multiple satellites as part of its planned 72-satellite IoT and LEO broadband constellation and has constructed a satellite research and manufacturing base in Tangshan designed for production capacity of up to 100 satellites per year. The company has been recognized as a top satellite solutions provider in the Asia Pacific region and received strategic investment from the China Internet Investment Fund, a state-backed venture fund. Commsat raised approximately 500 million yuan across its first six funding rounds from institutional investors including AVIC Capital and funds affiliated with Citic Securities, with state-backed investment bringing total funding to over one billion yuan.
