About China Rocket Co.

China Rocket Co., Ltd. is the commercial launch-services subsidiary of the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT), part of the state-owned CASC. Founded in July 2016 and based in Beijing, it operates the solid-propellant Smart Dragon (Jielong) family: Jielong-1 (Smart Dragon-1, about 150-200 kg to sun-synchronous orbit, maiden flight 2019) and the larger sea-launched Jielong-3 (Smart Dragon-3, about 1,600 kg to a 500 km SSO), a workhorse for commercial smallsat rideshare missions.
