About ArianeGroup
ArianeGroup is a joint venture between Airbus and Safran created in 2015 to manage and develop European launch vehicles. The company is responsible for the design, development, and production of the Ariane 5 and Ariane 6 heavy-lift launch vehicles. ArianeGroup also manufactures the upper stage of Ariane 6 (Vinci engine) and provides cryogenic propulsion systems. It is the prime contractor for the Ariane program and Europe's primary heavy launch capability.
