AmbaSat

AmbaSat is a UK-based company specialising in miniaturised satellite technology designed to make space exploration accessible to everyone. Founded in 2019, AmbaSat develops open-source nanosatellite kits that allow students, hobbyists, and engineers to build and launch their own satellites.

The AmbaSat-1 board is a tiny 35mm x 35mm satellite that fits within a 1U CubeSat form factor. Each kit includes the satellite board, sensors, and all the hardware needed to assemble a working space-grade device. The satellites communicate via LoRaWAN and The Things Network to transmit telemetry data back to Earth.

AmbaSat's open-source philosophy means all firmware, schematics, and documentation are freely available on GitHub, enabling a global community of space enthusiasts to contribute and collaborate. The company has successfully launched satellites as part of rideshare missions, giving participants a genuine orbital experience.
