About Amazon Project Kuiper
Project Kuiper is Amazon's commercial LEO satellite broadband initiative, announced in 2019 and authorized by the FCC for a 3,236-satellite constellation at 590–630 km altitude. Amazon plans to manufacture satellites at its Kuiper Systems factory in Redmond, Washington and launch them on its own Amazon-contracted Atlas V, New Glenn, Ariane 6, and Vulcan rockets.
