About Airbus OneWeb Satellites (JV)
Airbus OneWeb Satellites (AOS) was a joint manufacturing venture formed in 2016 between Airbus and OneWeb to produce OneWeb's 648-satellite LEO broadband constellation. Operating production lines in Toulouse (France) and Merritt Island (Florida), AOS demonstrated high-rate satellite manufacturing at scale. The JV achieved production rates of 2 satellites per day. Following Airbus's increased ownership of OneWeb (rebranded as Eutelsat OneWeb in 2023), AOS's manufacturing role was absorbed back into Airbus.
